2021 Annual Campaign
Every year, Washington County SPCA takes in over 2,500 animals throughout the county. The shelter has a small, dedicated staff supplemented by dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours tending to and loving the animals in our care. While our staff is small, our operations are expansive, We work 365 days a year and often outpace our financial ability to provide the necessary care to maintain the health and safety of our homeless animals. Our contracts provide less than a quarter of our annual operating expenses.
This is where you, our generous community, have always intervened. Time and time again, your charitable giving has helped us bridge the gap between our expenses and the care needed for our animals. You along with the our staff and volunteers are the lifeblood of the shelter.
The past year has made it impossible to hold our annual Spay-ghetti Dinner fundraiser which usually generates up $45,000 of revenue for the shelter. We are reaching out today to ask for your help in recouping those lost funds. Our goal is to raise $30,000, which will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor and amazing supporter.
