Every year, Washington County SPCA serves over 2,500 animals throughout the county. The shelter has a small, dedicated staff supplemented by dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours tending to and loving the animals in our care. While our staff is small, our operations are expansive, We work 365 days a year and often outpace our financial ability to provide the necessary care to maintain the health and safety of our homeless animals. Our contracts provide less than a quarter of our annual operating expenses.
This is where you, our generous community, have always intervened. Time and time again, your charitable giving has helped us bridge the gap between our expenses and the care needed for our animals. You along with the our staff and volunteers are the lifeblood of the shelter.
Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 to make up the deficit in our budget due to the increased cost of fuel, food, vaccines, and medical and cleaning supplies. Thanks to a few generous donors, our 2022 campaign is being matched dollar for dollar for up to $15,000 total.
